Tip 58. Order words in a series from short to long
Where you have a pair or series, rearrange the pair or series from short to long (unless you have a specific reason to do otherwise).
For example, rather than “Oranges, Grapes, and Apples”, write “Grapes, Apples, and Oranges”.
Rearranging words from short to long like this makes the sentence easier and quicker to read.
