Tip 10. Save time typing Web addresses
You will probably already know how to bookmark a website and how to organize your bookmarks. But you can also try other time-saving tips for getting to websites quickly.
For example, for websites that end “.com”, you can type the domain (such as “Findlaw”) and press CTRL and ENTER if you’re using a Windows operating system, or CMD and Enter if you’re using a Macintosh. This inserts “http://www.” in front of the domain, adds “.com” at the end, and connects to the site.
Try it now:
- Open your browser.
- Type “Findlaw” in the address or location bar.
- Press CTRL and ENTER for Windows or CMD and ENTER for Macintosh.
- Google will take you to the Findlaw home page.
