Tip 26. Come prepared
Before you enter the library’s doors, write-out a list of the materials you want.
You can use the template in Step 5 of The Lawyer’s Toolkit to compile a running bibliography.
Record your progress as you go.
Note the search terms you use, the databases you try, the sources you find, and the dead-ends you reach.
Compiling this information now will save you time in the long-run.
Bring everything else you may need: your borrowing card (or your ID if you need to join the library), logins and passwords, notepaper, pens and pencils, disks for downloading, cash or cards for photocopying, and so on.
