Tip 48. Organize your thinking before you start writing
Know what you want to say before you start writing. Once you work out what to say, then knowing how to say it will naturally follow. The writing process will refine your thoughts and spark new ideas. You should embrace these new ideas and refinements that come with writing; but you still need to have a good idea of what to say before you start. Otherwise, you risk wasting your time staring blankly at the screen.
