Tip 7. Use your cache

With search engines such as Google, you can choose to view the cache of a webpage rather than the actual webpage itself.

A cache of a webpage will usually load faster than the actual page. And Google's cached pages will highlight the keywords you searched, making it even quicker and easier for you to find the information you want.

So use the cache when you want a quick piece of information, such as a quotation or definition.

Try it now:

  • Look at the list of results you retrieved from your earlier search on “patent law”.
  • Choose a result from the list and press the word “Cached” that appears at the end of the search result.
  • When the webpage you chose opens, note how Google has highlighted your search term.
