Part 1A: Searching the Internet
Tip 1. Set Google to display 100 results per screen
You can tell Google to display 100 results per screen rather the default 10 results per screen. Loading 1 page of 100 results will take slightly longer than loading 1 page of 10 results; but you can scan 1 page of 100 results much more quickly than clicking the “Next” button 10 times.
Try it now:
- Go to the Google home page at www.google.com.
- Click “preferences”, to the right of the query bar.
- Scroll down to “Number of Results” and change the number of results per page from 10 to 100.
- Press “Save Preferences” at the bottom right of the window.
Now when you do a Google search, you will see the top 100 results rather than just the top 10.
